Since 2016, LAUNCH – a network of organizations and individuals – has been working together in a unified way to bring sustainable solutions to the communities of Norfolk, Virginia and beyond.

Mission

  • LAUNCH sustainable solutions for raising community levels of Learning, Access, Unity, Nutrition, Career Readiness, and Health; and
  • Garner and direct human and fiscal resources to LAUNCH children, youth, and families into their full potential

Goals

  • Connect citizens to information, resources, and organizations
  • Improve quality of life for all
  • Develop sustainable model for fostering community partnerships and networking

Objectives

  • Brainstorm, research, and implement collaborative and sustainable community solutions
  • Foster and facilitate community engagement through events such:
    • LAUNCH Community Fair, LAUNCH Back to School, Christmas Event
    • Relief efforts such as 3rd Thursday Grocery Giveaway
    • Summer- and after-school programs
  • Debrief and study local and internal data collected from these events and programs, which point to potential solutions
